NOTICE: Did you find
a lost baby or hurt bird outside?
Often we get phone calls or e-mail from someone who has found
a hurt bird or baby that has been kicked out of the nest. Beaks
and Bills Bird Rescue is unable to take these birds because
they are State and Federally regulated bird species and are
protected. The best place to go to find a home for them or
someone to help them mend is by visiting the DNR website of
Michigan Licensed Rehabilitators. This can be found by visiting
our links page. Go to links page.
We are currently unable to except any rescue birds, other than finches, at this time until we find a new home. We are in search of a new location for the rescue. If you or anyone you know has available lease space or land we could build on, for the rescue, please let us know.

Welcome to the website
for South West Michigan's Beaks and Bills Bird Rescue, formerly
Sun Valley Acres Bird Rescue. Currently our 501c3 Non-Profit
status is pending. Beaks & Bills bird rescue was started
in 2001 in order to provide a sanctuary for birds that need
homes. We place birds with foster parents while we look for
permanent homes for these amazing pets. We accept birds from
all across Michigan and beyond. We have connections all across
the country for bird placement in zoo's, sanctuaries and
foster homes until permanently placed in a loving, caring
home.
Feel free to browse our website. If you have any questions visit our Contact
Us page and we will be happy to help. We are always in need of finacial
donations, unlike other rescues who take in a dog here and a cat there, we
often get rescue calls involving anywhere between 5 and 25 birds at a time,
a few cases have been over 100. Taking in such large amounts of birds at a
time, puts a strain on our budget and our volunteer staff. If you are interested
in donations, being a foster home or volunteering at the rescue, please contact
us. Thank you!
